Your bill includes charges for your City of Austin utility services. Depending on where you live, it can include charges for drainage, electricity, solid waste, street service, wastewater, and water.
When We Must Receive Payments
Your payment must be received on or before the due date on the bill. A good payment record is required in order for you to get your deposit back.
Payments received after the due date will incur a 5% penalty. The penalty will be calculated using the water, wastewater, and electric portions of the current bill.

Utility disconnections for non-payment resume in July 2021. If you are experiencing financial hardship and are unable to pay your utility bill, please contact City of Austin Utilities Customer Care immediately at 512-494-9400. A Customer Service Representative will review your account and discuss available options such as payment arrangements and/or financial assistance.

The City of Austin offers a variety of payment options so you can pay your bill conveniently:
Register and login to the City of Austin Utilities Online Customer Care website to pay online.
Pay anytime, day or night. Use Quick Payment on the phone or online. There is a convenience fee for using this option.
Send a personal check, cashier's check, or money order to pay by mail.
Visit one of our Utility Service Centers, an authorized pay station, or community drop boxes.
Have your bill automatically drafted from your bank account.
Take more time to pay off a past-due balance to keep your utility account in good standing.
