Why Choose Autopay?

Autopay is a free service that automatically debits your bank account to pay your monthly utility bill.

With Autopay, you continue to receive a monthly bill for review. And most importantly, you save time and money.

How Autopay Works

With Autopay, your utility bill payment is deducted automatically from your bank account each month.

  • The payment amount will be the total balance of your utility bill.
  • Your payment will be processed within two business days of the due date on your bill.

You will continue to receive your monthly bill in the mail, unless you sign up for Paperless Billing.

For most customers, Autopay takes effect on the next bill after you sign up.

  • You should continue making payments manually until you see the Autopay message on your bill.
  • After Autopay starts, you’ll see a message on each bill stating it will be paid automatically with Autopay.

A Customer Care representative may contact you if we need more information.

Eligibility

  • Residential and commercial City of Austin utility customers may participate.
  • You must have a bank account.
  • You must agree to pay the full utility account balance each month.
